Taking a Dip
Hanging out at Sky Reef
It’s been such a treat being near the ocean. Last week we were able to sort out our transportation so now we have more mobility when it comes to exploring the island.
One of our first stops was Sky Reef, where we enjoyed some lunch followed by some swimming.

Beachfront View
The water was a little rough that day for snorkeling, so we decided to simply swim instead. Magnus, Aaron, and I were the only ones that went in while Grandpa Steve and the girls played on the shore.
Maev is in heaven when it comes to playing in the sand and collecting shells. She already has an impressive shell collection that she plays with constantly at the house.
We kept Freya out of the sand as long as we could until realizing our efforts were futile. There’s no way she can miss out on that sort of tactile fun.
Yes, it’s messy, and yes, she sometimes sneaks a little sand in her mouth, but there’s no substitute for this kind of glorious, sensory experience. She absolutely adores exploring in the sand beside Maev.

Splish Splash
While the girls are happy on shore, Magnus is happy in the water. He’s our little fish, and he’s come so far since arriving here in Cozumel, becoming a stronger swimmer every day.
We still keep his life jacket on in the ocean, but take it off in the pool. He loved swimming at Sky Reef and going up and down with the waves.
You can see Dad throwing Magnus up in the air in one of the photos above. After all that fun, he relaxed on a towel on the dock for a while. He looked so cute and peaceful sunning himself.
All in all, Sky Reef was awesome. As always, thanks for reading and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Until next time!

Sky Reef looks like an amazing spot! I am so happy to hear that all the kids are having fun. I think you are very wise to keep a life jacket on Magnus while he is in the ocean, after all, the ocean is strong and can be unpredictable. I can also imagine Maev and Freya playing in the sand for hours on end. Such joy!!
Simply put, I am very, very jealous, but happy too see you folks having a GREAT time….😊❤️😘
It is beautiful
